radfems behaving badly
I saw a great number of posts lately that discussed bugbrennan and some self-identified ” radfems’ ” exclusion of transwomen.
I do not agree with those exclusionary views.
bugbrennan and any other hate-filled friends can get together and exclude trans persons. they can state their bullshit reasons of needing safety from transwomen. they can state that they don’t think transwomen are real women.
they have the right to state whatever sexist, privileged, hatred they so choose. they also have the right to claim that they feel unsafe. in short, they have the right to their godawful opinions. but, no matter how loudly they state those opinions and no matter how much money they spend - their opinions will never be facts.
while they have the right to say whatever hatred they like, they do not have the right to demand that their bile be accepted as fact. for fact, it is not. trans hate is bias, it is hate and it is foul. for every bit of equality that anyone argues for, when they issue hatred, devaluation, declaration of others’ identity and even if they wrap it up as a claim about “safety”, those hate filled judgments only subtract and undo any positive impact toward equality that they claim to be committed to.
transwomen do not make lesbians or women unsafe.
privilege and hatred are not safety.
bugbrennan and her friends are not safe, no one is safe when others are not free, when others are not safe. when we are not all safe.
cathy “bug” brennan and the rest of the recent spate of “radfem” transsexist haters are no different than rush limbaugh. they are full of themselves, violent in their language and wallowing in self-righteous glorification and they all crave privilege.
the vanity and failure of bugbrennan and the patriarchy they emulate in this behavior come down to one core belief: the idea that their identity and their value is dependent on denying someone else equality.
I don’t care for cathy brennan’s words and deeds. Nor am I surprised that she is an active support of “gay only” rights requests. “Gay, Inc.” and “Feminism, Inc.” have two battles to wage: fighting the kyriarchy and fighting the temptation to do so only on their behalf, becoming mini-kyriarchies themselves.
“equality for me but not for you” is not equality.
so far, bugbrennan - you are failing. if you were to attend a rally with rush limbaugh or orly taitz, you would find that you all have a lot in common.

I think you should google patriarchy and then give that another go. Because currently your logic…has no logic.
