we really need space travel
so we can leave religious people here on earth, pretending that they are the magical center of the universe, waiting for the sun to supernova so they can pretend it’s the rapture. meanwhile, the rest of humanity…those capable of dealing with reality, can live to explore the vast wonder of the universe without being exterminated / converted / harassed by the faithful delusional.
I respect life too much to harm or take any, but man oh man, could I ever do with a couple of light years between me and holy men pretending to be god.
