• (re trayvon martin): The FACTS are easily found if you care to look for them. Zimmerman was appointed leader of the neighborhood watch by his homeowners association, some of them black, because they were sick of all the flagrant crimes being committed by young black men in the neighborhood, and nobody was being caught. You'd call the cops and the kids would simply run out the back door and escape. When seconds matter, the police will be there in minutes. Many of these crimes were brazen midday crimes with people still in the house. Zimmerman was studying law enforcement at the time, so he seemed the logical choice watch coordinator.
• Zimmerman is no white KKK racists as he is painted. He is part black and hispanic, his mother is African Peruvian. He was raised in mixed lower class neighborhoods and lives in a lowerclass mixed neighborhood, where the incident occurred.
• All the witnesses and evidence point to the fact that Martin ambushed Zimmerman and assaulted him. Martin never would have been shot if he hadn't attacked Zimmerman. He broke his nose, bloodied his head, gave him two black eyes and injured his back. Zimmerman is only 5'8 185 lbs, most of that fat, obviously. Martin was 6' 160. Witnesses report, (black witnesses, like such a thing matters) report Martin was straddling Zimmerman (a man in a red shirt) and punching him "MMA style". They report that Zimmerman was screaming for help. The back of Zimmermans red shirt was wet and had grass stains. The fact that he was beaten up and did not draw his gun right away, as well as the fact that he fired a single shot at close range lends credence to Zimmerman's account that he used his gun only when Martin tried to take it from him.
• Regarding 911.. of course they told Zimmerman not to pursue. Cops hate neighborhood watch organizations like The Guardian Angles and such. They make them look bad, which they are, for the most part. That the dispatcher told him not to pursue means absolutely nothing. The cops don't want to be made to look bad. The cops don't want people to get hurt. That's understandable. But most important of all-
• the cops don't run our lives, WE do.
• The cops could give a flying fuck if you are mugged, robbed, raped or murdered. If they did care, they'd encourage people to carry guns. The cops want first and foremost to look out for their own self interests, and are just there to arrest people that break the law. They don't give us permission on things we can and cannot do if they are not matters of being illegal. If we want to follow someone that we suspect in our neighborhood, that is our prerogative. Zimmerman was doing something valuable and completely legal. He wasn't breaking any laws. He had every right, and if you ask me, every obligation as the neighborhood watch leader, to follow this kid and make sure things were safe.
• Of course it sucks for young black kids that have done nothing wrong, but what are you going to do? If young white boys that fit a certain profile are targeting your neighborhood for crime, what the fuck are you supposed to do? Nothing? It's easy to armchair quarterback and accuse these neighborhood watch guys of wrongdoing while they live a life bombarded by crime with a weak and ineffective police department with its hands tied.
• You can blame Zimmerman all you want, and maybe he is a Fletcher type busy-body, you and I don't know, but the FACT is that if Martin were'nt a dumb fucking punk that attacked a guy that was just being annoying and following him and asked him what he was up to, none of this would have happened. Martin is more a victim of race bating then anything else. He was indoctrinated into a growing world of hate and phony racial victimization. He is being used by nefarious people with selfish ambitions. The music, the media, the news, Hollywood, everything is telling him he is getting screwed by "the man" and he needs to fight the power, so to speak, and Spike Lee laughs all the way to the bank. If you ask me, he attacked Zimmerman because he was turning into a angry hatefilled black militant, as is evidenced by his trouble at school (he had been expelled at the time of the incident and both his mother and father wanted to get him away from his troublesome freinds) , his Twitter handle "NoLimitNigga", the photo of which is Martin flipping his middle finger and tweeting things like “Plzz shoot da #mf dat lied 2 u!”
• Had Martin not grown up in a ghetto culture fraught with lawlessness and a disregard for the law, and perhaps most importantly, had careless people not gotten into this young mans head and convinced him that it's cool to be a thug, it is unlikely, in my opinion, he would have felt the need to assault a guy just for being annoying, and none of this ever would have happened.
• (some more shit about Trayvon from that same conversation): and the thing that kills me, it you seemed determined to destroy the good guys and paint them as the villains, while white washing the bad guys
• (and the "I'm only doing suggesting you stfu because talking about racism is the real problem, don't ya know?"): My only concern here is that this country not descend into the madness of a race war/anarchy.
