N. K. Jemisin is an African-American female speculative fiction writer. Her fiction explores a wide variety of themes, including but not limited to cultural conflict and oppression, via fantasy and science fictional milieu. 
Looking through some comments in the reblogs, some of you have never been introduced to N K Jemisin.  I feel very much obliged to do so.
Between my love for The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms, or Jemisin’s blogs, I can’t give her enough praise. I urge you to read some of the quotes I’ve posted and then try reading some of her work. It’s so refreshing to see new perspectives in the science/fantasy genres…woc characters written by a woc.
